This past week has been pretty hectic and with the untimely  passing for Guru from Gangstarr, I am at a loss for words and coming to a realization that we are in the age where our idols and pioneers will be leaving us. All we can do is celebrate and enjoy life currently. I am happy to say that I met Guru twice. 1st time was at an in-store event where I pulled out a Baldhead Slick da Click vinyl and he was like WOAH! “I Have to sign this”! the second time he was walking down 12th street right off of Market and I was like that can not be, and a family was walking by me and the dad also kept asking his wife if that was Guru. I turned to them and yeah it is. We shouted him out and he stopped and looked shocked. We all did quick daps and got some autographs and went on our merry way. RIP Guru

Also I had the opportunity to go down to the Poe Boy office and meet some of the movers and shakers of the music movement in Florida. Crazy Experience! So this past Sunday I was able to go to Philadelphia mixtape release of Philly VS. Pittsburgh City Series Vol 1. The night just could of  been called the Philadelphia Music Conference. Just about anybody who is anybody was in there. Good food and drinks along with good music. Philadelphia (Dj Royale, Tommy Diz, and Sat One) opened up the night for the Pittsburgh visitors (Dj Nugget and McFly) who completely smashed their sets and smashed Eastern Liberties section of Philadelphia.  The mix is featured below and it is definitely worth a listen, no disappointments here. Wired Thirsty Thursday 4-8-10 & It Keeps Getting Louder

Kids & adults lets go! Let me use this to be an inspiration for alot of you out there. It’s not difficult to play the hit record from a major artist who is gonna have a hit record anyway. I’m here for those I believe in, and who I know has been working from the ground. I saw Major Lazer’s – Keep It Goin Louder as a record that needs to be heard. It went from just getting my mixshow spin, to after 7pm rotation, to now full rotation and its climbing in the request charts. All I can say is mission accomplished.
